Who we are - Tony Thomas

Tony is a Chartered Informatics Engineer who holds an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College, London. He is a member of the British Computer Society and is registered with FEANI, the European Federation of National Engineering Associations. With more than 40 years international experience working in Manufacturing and IT Services, Tony has taken a wide variety of roles in programme, project, technical, commercial and operational management.

He works with senior executives and board members to define and shape change programmes, and with staff at all levels to organise, coach and drive them. He has a strong track record of successful delivery, and particular expertise in the rescue and turnaround of programmes and business units which are struggling to meet their objectives. He is at home in different cultures and speaks good French and German.

The experience on which Tony draws has been gained in a range of application areas including: banking and finance; manufacturing; government; defence; transportation; telecomms; electronics and law. He has managed programmes employing more than 100 people and with budgets exceeding $US 50 million.

Tony has worked for the UKAEA (10 years including his formal apprenticeship), SPL International (3 years), Logica (20 years) and Groupe Bull (3 years). He has spent the last ten years working as an independent Consultant and Programme Director for his own company adsensus limited. He is a Founding Principal of Adsensus International, and the Managing Editor of The Guidepost.
